Our project blends 2 themes: Crops & Water. We merged 2 groups to form one since we had a shared vision. We would like to connect with other SpaceApps teams that are developing water sensor hardware or farm monitoring drone hardware to add greater intelligence to our app and combine forces.

Crop diseases affecting one farmer may affect others in the neighborhood or somewhere around the globe. A farmer facing water shortage in one area may not know she has access to water from other sources nearby.

Our App allows: Crowd sourcing Crop Disease information.

Instant consultation globally, share pictures and videos of diseased crops with annotation.

Monitor and trade water in your locality and worldwide.

We have a functional Android App and a web app or connection via SMS for rural areas with limited smartphone/ data access, connected to a real time database. We converted US Geological Survey data to a mobile App friendly data source via FIrebase. The same database has geohashing capabilities which allows for real time map updates. Free SMS is enabled using Open Source TextBelt server https://github.com/typpo/textbelt.

We have a socket server running on Amazon which facilitates exchanging images instantaneously across mobile devices.

User login through facebook is enabled.

In the future, we would like to integrate satellite data to provide intelligence on crops and water situations, farm drone sensor data and water droids/ sensor data through our apps and enable sharing via the app.
