masteroid3

Our app, mAsteroid3, is aimed to simulate the in-space experience, and provide knowledge to its users about the location of asteroids, their properties, and the possible profit they represent. By using Android Studio, the app will have several tasks such as: locating asteroids in the sky by pointing the device to a certain point; sorting asteroids according to the resources they offer; and ultimately, estimate the profit from such asteroid expeditions.

This project is solving the Asteroids 2025-2100 - Future History challenge.

Description

Our team believes that lack of support towards asteroid research results from lack of relevant information that are being shared with the audience. This app will enable not only those who purchase it for curiosity purposes to expand their knowledge on the value of asteroids as springboards for future research on the Moon, Mars, and ultimately, the stars; but it will also serve for educational purposes, in the era of tech ed. Such complex data will be available to anyone at anytime, in the simplest representation possible, without lacking neither the fun nor the creativity. We aim on bringing the concept of Space closer to our audience, by highlighting the current material, and future natural advantages these spatial bodies offer.
