Android App consists of 2 parts.The first is in which the user is educated about latest NASA missions to different planets and beyond; by selecting a specific target all the mission data will appear(payload,vehicle..etc.)The second part is where the user is given a mission and a set of requirements to satisfy by choosing from payload options given in the app, launching vehicle and site;he's also educated about launching weather conditions, after that weather forecast at launching site appears.

This project is solving the 3-2-1 LIFTOFF: Launch that Rocket! challenge.


Our project aims to educate, engage and spread awareness with the latest scientific missions launched and the different phases to assemble a mission; this takes part through the data base in our Android application which allows the user to go through different NASA missions by selecting the target. The description given in each mission states the mission's payload, vehicle, launch site, cost and timeline. After that part being done, the user gets to assemble a mission. He is given a specific mission with specific requirements to fulfill; from this statement he will be able to select the payload required, then the launching vehicle. He will also be provided with launching weather precautions; after reading them and choosing the launch site, he will get the weather forecast through internet and will be able to make his launching decision.We are planning to let the application read the weather forecast and tell the user whether the weather conditions are go or no go for launching.More challenging missions with different requirements will be added to engage the user more with taking the decision for which payload to carry and which vehicle will carry it and from where. After the public has been engaged into the several considerations taken by space agencies for designing a mission, we plan to launch a website or let the application be connected to an online server, through which the public will begin to design their own mission with their own requirements to fulfill, also extending the data base to include more launching vehicles and sites. This network will help space agencies by viewing different mission designs the public builds. It also helps as a social network connecting all space enthusiasts and experts sharing their knowledge and helping in our exploration of our universe. Further on, designing missions competitions may be able to be held on this platform.
