water-resources-management-and-mapping-system

This project is solving the Clean Water Mapping challenge.

Recent years due to adverse climatic conditions and subjectivity in making management decisions in the management of water resources of the Republic of Bulgaria occurred lasting negative consequences on the territory of the country as follows: significant material damage to buildings and arable land. Were ruined thousands of lives. This prompted us to attempt to create a " Water Resources Management and Mapping System“ to avoid all these terrible consequences for the population. The system permits modular to implement passport of water resources and introduction of clear economic criteria for creating a sustainable system in a variety of adverse weather conditions: drought, flooding, pollution. Main problems of the available water sources are: • Reducing the effective volume - with the development of a water source the main problem is reducing its effective volume due to mechanical contamination resulting from the change of ecology as deforestation, rainfall and others. • Pollution - biological and chemical as a result of human intervention • Climate change - droughts and periods of heavy rainfall • the ecosystem change from the human factor

Water Resources Management and Mapping System is a complex of technical resources for control and regulation of technological processes in different modes with certain technical and economic indicators. It defines the structure of the interaction of the operator with the object using the available technical resources. The effectiveness of the system depends mainly from two factors - the individual human qualities and technical performance of the object . The system for automated control creates the following options connecting the water supply equipment, assemblies and systems into a single, continuous process; • centralized management with a small number of staff; • Safety management of water transmission facilities and equipment in harsh outdoor environments; • fast response and sufficient reliability in managing large and complex equipment and systems.
