forest-tracker

Forest Tracker is a crowdsourced application with the idea of it being a useful tool for people who want to to keep track of local and worldwide deforestation. It provides the user with the ability to browse through community photographs related to deforestation by searching through a map. It also allows the user to participate in the growth of the database by taking pictures of his/her own. Users are required to describe the images before they are uploaded.

This project is solving the Forest Monitor Mapping challenge.

Description

Forest Tracker is a project aimed to help people who want to keep track of deforestation and forests in general. By introducing an easy to navigate through app, we hope to provide a pleasant and simple experience for people seeking to improve their knowledge of forest status. We also hope to encourage an establishment of a community that shares information about the common problem that would lead to the creation of a database, available to anyone.
