zoid

Project Zoid brings together the vast array of NASA images and makes it accessible in a beautiful and simple way.

This project is solving the Happy Moments From Space challenge.

Description

Zoid will retrieve images of the vast surroundings of outer space from NASA to your electronic device. These images are randomly picked from a pile of random photos, but what makes them special is that each and every one of these pictures will link itself to the date it was taken, to the exact same day as the unforgettable, happy moment in your life. Making this as an app is good because it brings the expansive jungle of stars and planets in peoples reach; since a lot of people have smartphones and other electronic devices now, it is conveniently accessible to anyone.

We believe that this single app can bring significant change to the nearing futureā€¦ Looking at the bigger picture to the purpose of Zoid, we are hoping that it will bring attention and interest to more of the younger generation and hopefully would liven up any dreams of theirs that involves outer space or even spark a little idea into their minds so that in the future, an astronomical career will be as common as, say, a civil engineer, dentist or business person. If ever this is achieved, inevitably, humankind will take a bigger step than ever before to diving into dark side of space.
