The aim of this project is to provide a solution for mapping of drinking water resources. This will be a crowdsourcing app to monitor and map: potable water availability (well/stream/reservoir levels as measured by local people/ organizations), water quality, contaminants and ground water.

This project is solving the Clean Water Mapping challenge.


a. There will be option for two types of User. One type is Contributor: who will contribute by providing data regarding water sources, water quality, contaminants and ground water. Another type of user is Seeker: Who will use the app to find the best water source in his/her nearby place. b. After registering as a Contributor, the user will be asked to enter the coordinate of the water source/ tap on the map to select a location. i. Then the user has to provide data like: name, type of the source (well/stream/reservoir), water quality, contaminants, water level of the reservoir (measured by local people/ organizations). ii. Based on the input given by a contributor a marker will be placed in that location. iii. The marker will be represented in such a way so that people get understand easily. c. When a seeker will open the app, the App will display him/her the safe water sources at a radius of 1km from his/her current location.
