t-drone
A Drone that will be controlled autonomously via GPS. The purpose is to capture pictures of volcanoes for research analysis but it will be also uploading the pictures to an Android and iOs application so that people can be informed about the selected volcano (date, time, temperature etc) and to vote if the picture is "Hot or Not". The T-Drone is aiming to enter the market for scientists working on Volcano Research.This project is solving the Volcanoes, Icebergs, and Cats from Space challenge. Description
The main purpose of this project is to collect data of different volcanoes around the globe. Furthermore pictures will be uploaded to mobile applications so that people can vote the picture and read some details regarding the volcano. This will be possible with the use of an autonomously drone with an attached camera (w/ thermal and ordinary lens) on the bottom of it. Through a GPS signal and a volcano map database the drone will be flying on a certain altitude above the core of the volcano and it will be capturing photographs but it will be also collecting certain data regarding the quality of the air, temperature and pressure.
