Momently is a real-time crowd sensing tool, used to track environmental issues and capture data unlike anything ever before. Upload an anonymous moment in time by taking a photo, report life’s necessities, flag pollution, anything else you see or that your device can give. Momently will then aggregate and analyze the data from an entirely different angle - the human angle. Momently is the Earth's heartbeat, one moment at a time.

NASA and other entities do a great job of providing sensors, structured data and objective statistics about everything on Earth. Momently uses humans to help identify, publish and correct environmental issues. It does this with an anonymous photo sharing app that allows you to provide optional environmental information along with the photo and device information. There’s even a commenting feature as well.

Humans are using Earth’s resources 1.4 times faster than it can renew them, so this app will bring a human-centered analysis of the impact in real-time at each moment a human deems important enough to share it. Momently will integrate a robust collection of anonymous data aggregated alongside other NASA API’s, so we can see what’s going on from a human’s perspective combined with what the machines see. Momently is integrated with popular image hosting site Imgur.com and has many additional features on its backlog, including: data analysis tools, improved app experience, algorithmic data interpretation logic, perimeter monitoring and social media integration. Possible additional features include: leaderboard, collaboration, progress tracking and task management.
