Our project is a game in which you build structures inside a lava tube om Mars to survive. You need to keep your oxygen supply up, as well as your food and water supply, or else the game will end. Creating buildings consumes resources, but allow you to produce a specific item. building houses allows you to bring people over from Earth, and have them do tasks such as mining, or researching however, people use up resources such as air and food. You can also mine ores you find in the lava tubes.This project is solving the Survivor: Mars Lava Tubes challenge. Description
Our project aims to achieve a simulation of a colony on Mars inside a lava tube. This could be useful for planning an expedition to Mars and the colony could be mapped out like in the game. In addition, it could also educate people about how it would be like on Mars, and it could provide a simulation to train astronauts. We plan to achieve this with our game, Crashed: Survival on Mars.
