There are two main parts of the challenge:
API - All of the data is scattered among a lot of websites, none of which offer API. The first step is to create scripts which draw the information from these sites, store it in a database and offer an API which allows users to query the data and receive it in different text formats (for example json, xml)
Visualization - A front end which visualizes the gathered data so it can be used for educational purposes, monitoring etc, with an option to export generated maps and more.
