Use the Kinect v2 to fly Anna the astronaut around 3 different planets using her wrist-mounted rockets!

This project is solving the Bodies in Spacey Motion challenge.

Description

We know how gravity works on earth, and we know that the atmosphere and gravity work differently on other planets in our solar system, but how can we teach this in an experiential way? Ferrous Bueller's Day off earth uses the idea of wrist-mounted rockets as popularized by the 'Iron Man' films, combined with the Kinect sensor in order to teach players how astronauts on each planet would be impacted by the conditions of each planet.

We used the Unreal Engine 4, the Kinect 4 Unreal plugin and the Kinect sensor in order to create a game experience played with the body rather than a keyboard, and used the UE's physics engine in order to properly simulate the gravitational effects of each planet on the same astronaut.
