dronectrl---automated-landing-for-drones

DroneCTRL was formed at the NASA International Space Apps Challenge, Helsinki chapter April 2015. #spaceappshki The mission of the DroneCTRL project is to create an international protocol to control the safe landing on fully automated and autonomous Droid fleets. DroneCTRL is Safe Landing for Droids.

Description

DroneCTRL consists of an application system, the DroneCTRL and the DronePORT which includes the physical visual marking for the landing areas and also the DroidST, a port ground automated control system which is connected to the main cloud control system, weather data systems, etc. The DroneST is equipped with secure parallel servers with local sensors for wind, weather and ground observation sensors.

The DronePORT is an airport for a fleet of multiple Droid fleets from a single or a multiple number of fleet operators at the same DronePORT.

The DroneCTRL consists of a control and landing recognition application for single Droid. The system architecture also consists of a standardized image based ground marking system for multiple DronePORT landing station configurations.
