connected-spheres-in-space-station
connected spheres with google glass and smartphone in space station is the network of physical objects embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity to enable it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with the astronaut and other connected devices in space stationThis project is solving the Sensor Yourself challenge. Description
the connected sphere allows the astronaut to control the environment of the space station from the exchange of orders and informations with the sphere
The sphere contains a intelligent system based on embedded sensors that can detect multiple physical phenomenon
the sensors used are:
temperature and humidity sensor,flame sensor,CO2 sensor,camera sensor,gas sensor,motion sensor,gravity sensor,ultrasonic sensor and gyroscope sensor
the sensors are connected to an electronic board arduino or embdded computer raspberry pi and are fixed to the sphere
communication between mobile, google glass and sphere is via Bluetooth communication protocol
communication senario between astronaut and sphere:
astronaut with Google glass and smartphone:
using head to send the command making movements with the head to control the directions of sphere
using voice command (ASR: Automatic Speech Recognition) to send other commands
display the information received from spheres on the smartphone by the speech (TTS: Text To Speech)
