CATSAT Voting App- VOTE for the Most Interesting Natural Phenomenon on EARTH! It's a crowdsourcing, discovery & gamified voting app that allow anyone to discover, alert others about Earth’s natural phenomenon & learn about our home planet. Extreme disasters of “interesting” natural events are observed from the satellites in space. Social media is used to promote & notify in real time. In 2013, there were hundreds of natural disasters with 96.5mil victims & economical damages over $156.7bil.

This project is solving the Volcanoes, Icebergs, and Cats from Space challenge.

Description

CatSat is a crowd sourced NASA imagery discovery site & app.

Gamification- Images of interesting natural events on Earth are to be voted on by the public on social media.

Zoom into any location on the satellite map viewer, take advantage of the map’s high resolution to search for interesting features of the events in detail and real time to announce it on any or all of the social media platforms.

If you find something you’d like to share, select a tag icon from the right toolbar and drop it onto the map.

If others agree, they can vote to support your tag and increase its rating, ranking and as well as your profile score.

Click through other peoples’ tags and if you see something you like to vote to show your support.

Click on the profile link to view your achievements.

Check out the leader board to see which users are most active and compete.

This can be used for people to participate in a fun, convenient learning and sharing experience.
