Drinking water quality is an important challenge for sanitation and the economy. This is the reason why the World Health Organization has worked out Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality to recommend that each water system should have a Water Safety Plan that will be used to assess and manage risks, from raw water catchment to water consuming. The purpose of this project is to protect raw water acquisition systems by developing a mapping solution (web-based and mobile) to map out water resources

This project is solving the Clean Water Mapping challenge.
Description
Project’s objectives are the following : 1. To provide water stakeholders (water professionals, water and sanitation companies NGO’s etc) with a web-based solution that will allow them to input data about available quantity and quality of water 2. To allow citizen watch by communities using the mobile solution to send alerts in order to protect the resource (eg report an oil tanker leaking its petroleum content next to a water source, or used batteries and worn out electronic garbage piling up or even the construction of restrooms in prohibited areas, etc.) 3. To allow for multi-dimensional data analysis (space, time, data minig etc) to ease decision-making 4. To allow stakeholders in the water industry to quickly make decisions and take actions upon receiving alerts or test results (eg Water shortage risk that helps identify priority areas in case of hybrid crisis situation, progressive salt contamination of wells, non-compliance or inconsistency of some test results, etc.) 5. To allow the setup of a system that helps to backup and archive test results history
