This probject is to build an accurate model for thermal power consumption that will increase the spacecraft science return.

This project is solving the Spacecraft Thermal Power Consumption challenge.

Description

The amount of power that will be required by the platform units is known. However, the power that the thermal subsystem will consume is connected to the heaters and their behavior is uncertain. Their behavior depends both on external (e.g. sun distance, solar aspect angle) and internal factors (e.g. units’ status, payloads’ status). As a consequence the current estimation of Power assigned to the Thermal Subsystem has a consistent margin.We will use data mining approach to estimate the power that will be consumed by the thermal subsystem in order to determine the power available for doing science. Build an accurate model for thermal power consumption that will increase the spacecraft science return.
