Le marathon créatif interstellaire Space Apps Challenge atterrit à Montréal (et dans 140 autres villes!!) pour une deuxième année !
Space Apps Montréal propose cette année une thématique globale de “visualisation de l’information”. Nous vous invitons donc à venir jouer avec l’information sous toutes ses formes afin d’inventer et prototyper des objets, des outils de visualisation de big data, des jeux, de l’art, des infographies, des bijoux, des cartographies, etc.
Si vous êtes ingénieur, graphiste, développeur, maker, game designer, artistes ou simplement curieux, inscrivez-vous dès maintenant pour venir hacker l’espace avec nous !
À vous d'imaginer de jouer avec les informations fournies par la NASA. Tout est possible, de l'infographie aux applications immersives (Réalité Virtuelle), de l'art au big data, de l'impression aux objets, du jeu vidéo aux applis.
Pour vous accompagner dans vos projets, nous aurons sur place :- de l'équipement d'électronique (composants, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc.)
- des imprimantes 3D
- des bébelles (Oculus Rift, LEAP, MYO, etc.)
En parallèle de ce sprint créatif, des activités seront proposées pour les enfants (4 à 15 ans) et leurs parents :
Samedi 11, de 11h à 17h, Hélios (http://heliosmakerspace.ca/) donnera un atelier de numérisation et impression 3D.
“Helios Makerspace vous propose de vous transformer en astronaute! À l'aide d'un périphérique Kinect, vous pourrez numériser votre visage et l'intégrer dans un buste d'astronaute avec un logiciel de modélisation 3D. Vous apprendrez ensuite, avec notre aide, à l'imprimer en trois dimensions et repartirez avec votre propre buste d'astronaute!”

Dimanche 12, de 9h30 à 16h30, Ladies Learning Code (https://www.facebook.com/ladieslearningcodemontreal) donnera un atelier d’initiation au code ‘Kids Learning Code HTML & CSS’ en français (9 à 12 ans)

Enfin, le dimanche 12 avril, de 16h à 18h, le public est invité à venir voir (et expérimenter) les projets qui auront été inventés par les participants pendant la fin de semaine.

Along this intense creative sprint, activities will be held for kids (4 to 15) and their parents:
Saturday 11th, from 11am to 5pm, Hélios (http://heliosmakerspace.ca/) will give a 3D scanning to 3D printing workshop.
“Turn yourself into an astronaut! Using a Kinect device, you will scan yourself and add your head inside a space suit using 3D modeling software. You'll then learn how to print it using a 3D printer and leave with your own astronaut bust!”

Finally, on Sunday 12th, from 4pm to 6pm, the public is invited to see (and experiment) with the projects that will be built by the participants over the week-end.
